Roland Albertson

Singer songwriter Roland Albertson fuses laid-back grooves with sweeping melodic rock moments. A blend of surf, sun, rock and rhythm!

Starting out as a solo acoustic act in London in 2003, Roland released his critically acclaimed debut EP, Legends of the Sun, in early 2010. Now back home in South Africa, Roland is making a splash on the thriving local scene amongst both fans and media, following his Top 10 success in the Global Moguls online talent search.

The ripples have been felt far abroad too as Roland won 'Best Male Artist' in the 7th annual International Acoustic Music Awards in Feb 2011 - competing against over 10,000 entrants and being the first South African to ever win an award in the competition.
